Breathtaking Forgotten Authors Filled Abandoned Mansion Up North in The Mountains

Two beautiful old houses, the stucco American foursquare style house dates back to the late 1800’s to early 1900’s and was built by descendants of the original house. The old clapboard house which is actually a log house hidden underneath was built in the early 1800’s for a somewhat well known novelist. She was born in the house in December of 1873 and then moved out west to Nebraska in 1883. Now a busy highway sits right out front and the fate of these places seems uncertain. Hopefully they can be restored and saved, such beautiful old houses in need of some care. Glad I could document these awesome pieces of local American history. Thanks for watching
