MOM & DAUGHTER FIRST TIME WATCHING TMNT (2007)! Mama’s Geeky and her daughter Lorie dive into TMNT (2007) — the animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie! This was our first time watching it, and we absolutely loved it! The action, the animation, and the heartfelt brotherly dynamic reminded us why the Turtles are such timeless heroes. Honestly, it’s such a bummer they didn’t continue this franchise, because this film showed so much potential. TMNT (2007) brings Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael back together after growing apart, and the emotional stakes hit harder than we expected. The tension between Leo and Raph was fantastic, and the rooftop fight between them was one of our favorite moments of the entire franchise. We laughed at Mikey’s goofy antics, loved Donnie’s tech genius role, and cheered every time Splinter showed his wisdom. The voice cast was absolutely stacked — Chris Evans (Captain America: The First Avenger) as Casey Jones, Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as April O’Neil, Mako (Samurai Jack) as Splinter, Kevin Smith (Clerks) with a fun cameo, and of course Nolan North (Uncharted) and James Arnold Taylor (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) lending their voices to the Turtles. They brought so much life and personality to these beloved characters. From the slick animation style to the thrilling battles with ancient monsters, TMNT (2007) is a hidden gem in the Ninja Turtles’ long history. Watching it together made us laugh, cheer, and even wish we could see what came next if this version of the franchise had continued.
