Australia’s wild $120 million shark strategy

Australia’s wild $120 million shark strategy #australia #sharks #drone #sharkattack #technology The biggest and most expensive shark surveillance program in the world is about to change what a day at the beach looks like for millions of Aussies. New South Wales has launched the biggest shark surveillance expansion in Australia, with high-tech drones now operating 365 days a year across 50 beaches and extra weekend and school holiday coverage bringing the total to 73 drone-patrolled beaches. The move follows a sharp rise in shark attacks and fatalities across Australia, including deadly incidents in Western Australia, Queensland and Sydney Harbour. Surf Life Saving NSW says the expanded program could deliver more than 500,000 flights this year, helping pilots spot sharks earlier and warn swimmers, surfers and spearfishers before tragedy strikes. With AI shark detection also being trained for summer rollout, this major beach safety upgrade could change what a day at the beach looks like for millions of Aussies. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Connect With news.com.au Online ► [https://www.news.com.au] https://bit.ly/3WC8hOP ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Follow Us: Facebook ► [  / news.com.au  ] Instagram ► [https://www.instagram.com/newscomauhq...] TikTok ► [@news.com.au] X ► [  / newscomauhq  ] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe To Our YouTube Channel For The Very Latest News From Australia And Around The World: ► [   / @newscomauhq  ] ► [   / @newscomauhq  ] ► [   / @newscomauhq  ] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
