Our 1000 mile drive to the Alps...how hard can it be?

We are about to set off on our epic 4 week adventure to the snowy French Alps in our VW T6 Campervan. As we are early retired, we have all the time in the world to get there, but 1000 miles from home to the mountains is still a heck of a drive! Join us as we wild camp in Dover, find the most stunning stop over in central France and then have a change of plan before we finally make it to the stunning Arc 1950 ski resort. In this video we look at the channel crossing options, Schengen 90/180 rule implications and our decision to use toll roads or not. We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We retired from teaching at the age of 51 in the summer of 2022. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travelling the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
