Our children had a fabulous week visiting our partner school, JvS, in the Netherlands!

This video tells the story of an incredible week as Year 5 and 6 children from Landywood Primary School, travelled to the Netherlands to visit their partner school, JvS. From the very first smiles and excitement on arrival, it was clear this was going to be a week like no other. Our children were welcomed in the most wonderful way — with dancing, flags and celebrations that set the tone for everything that followed. Over the course of the week, children experienced Dutch life up close: cycling through the streets, travelling by train, tasting traditional foods, and soaking up the sunshine on the beach. They explored Amsterdam, visited museums, and made memories in every moment in between. Buddies were made, laughs were shared, and connections were formed that will last far beyond the trip itself. By Day 4, after bike tours, ice cream stops and an evening cheering on England, it was clear that something special had happened — not just a school trip, but a genuine adventure that broadened horizons and brought out the very best in every child.
