東林間「小田急の快速急行停車駅に挟まれた駅、東林間駅の周辺を散策」【2024年10月】

Starting today, we'll be heading to the Odakyu Enoshima Line, which has three stations with the word "Rinkan" in their names. One of these is Higashi-Rinkan Station, which I'll be introducing today. Odakyu once promoted a grand urban plan known as the "Rinkan City" concept, and as a result, many stations have the word "Rinkan" in their names. Currently, Higashi-Rinkan Station is a local-only station located between Sagami-Ono Station and Chuo-Rinkan Station, both of which serve rapid express trains. Walking around the station, I found a supermarket on the east side and a MEGA Don Quijote along the national highway a short walk away, so I felt like I had no trouble living here. Additionally, to the west of the station, an old shopping district remains, with independently owned cafes, izakayas, and other restaurants, as well as some interesting general stores. After exploring the area around the station, I walked along the Suido-michi Greenway, a greenway built on the conduit of the Yokohama Waterworks, Japan's first modern waterworks, and headed to Chuo-Rinkan Station.
