Elsewhere in the prefecture, seismic intensity 4 was observed in Maebashi City, Kiryu City, and Isesaki City. Seismic intensity 3 was observed in Takasaki City, Tomioka City, and Annaka City. The earthquake occurred around 7:46 PM on the 16th. In Ota City, where seismic intensity 5- was observed, the elevators at the city hall displayed an "X" sign due to the earthquake. The crisis management office was busy gathering information. This is Ota Station on the Tobu Railway. Due to the earthquake, train services were suspended, and station users were waiting in front of the ticket gates. The prefectural government held a press conference around 9:30 p.m. to announce the extent of the damage. A teenage boy in Ota City and a woman in her 20s in Oizumi Town sustained minor injuries. In addition, there were multiple elevator outages in Maebashi City, Takasaki City, and Ota City, but there were no cases of people being trapped, and restoration work is underway. Regarding the impact on lifelines: Water services were temporarily suspended in Ota City but have since been restored. There was no damage to electricity or gas. The Joetsu Shinkansen suspended service between Tokyo Station and Niigata Station, and the Hokuriku Shinkansen suspended service between Tokyo Station and Nagano Station, but resumed operation after 10 p.m. The Takasaki Line temporarily suspended service on both the up and down lines between Takasaki Station and Kagohara Station in Saitama Prefecture, but resumed operation around 11:40 p.m. This is Tobu Railway.
