The owner of a VW Golf II 19E (1988, 1.6 liter, 53 kW) has been driving this car for 31 years, having bought it new back then. And she's been a regular customer at the VW repair shop for almost exactly that long. However, the shop is no longer able to get the necessary parts and suggested the customer buy a new car. She doesn't want that, so she's now seen Holger. Because when the Golf is really hot and you turn it off, it continues to run for a short time and then starts to buck. This is what's known as "after-dieseling," or uncontrolled afterburning... What's wrong here? Also, there's some news on the ever-present topic of the Ford EcoBoost engine.
