In the second part of our motorhome tour, our journey first takes us to the impressive Schwarzwasser Valley near Pobershau. Amidst rugged cliffs, rushing water, and the historic Grüner Graben (Green Ditch), we experience one of the most beautiful hikes in the Ore Mountains – complete with breathtaking views and moments of tranquility in nature. Next, we travel to Seiffen, the famous toy village. Here, we immerse ourselves in the world of Ore Mountain folk art, discover the traditional mountain church, roll our marbles through the marble runs, and feel why a touch of Christmas lingers in the air all year round. A short detour takes us to Altenberg, where a rainy day reveals the rugged, authentic side of the Ore Mountains – shaped by its mining history, the massive pinge (mine pit), and impressive sports facilities. Finally, we reach Freiberg, the historic silver mining town. Strolling through magnificent squares, centuries-old churches, and vibrant history, we wander through one of Saxony's most beautiful old towns – and bring our journey through the Ore Mountains to a peaceful close.
