2025 UK trip part I of II: to Rotterdam (EHRD) #IFR #DA40NG #g1000nxi

The best trips of the year these! A beautiful flight under great weatherconditions from Teuge (EHTE) to Rotterdam (EHRD) to clear customs for a visit to Norwich (EGSH). I flew together with my oldest daughter, who is starting to take interest in flying too. We took the very capable DA40NG for this flight. We made arrangements with ‪@vliegclubrotterdam4152‬ to be our handler and the Royal Marechaussee would meet us there to check our passports. The paperwork for the UK flight was filed through GenDec.eu, and that worked fine. This was flight was done on the last weekend before the ETA came into effect. Now you need a visa to travel to the UK from Europe. For the route to Rotterdam I filed EHTE - RAKIX/FL040 IFR - OGINA - EHRD Intro and recap 0:00 Taxi & departure 0:50 IFR opening, climb & cruise 3:28 Descent, approach and landing 8:50 When I don't fly the DA40NG, I rent the PH-VTB, a well kept C172 G1000 as a member of Vliegclub Teuge (https://www.motorvliegclubteuge.nl/) and I enjoy flying a mix of VFR and IFR flights to a variety of destinations within an hour or three flying from my homebase Teuge in The Netherlands (EHTE). For filming I use GoPro 4's (1080, 60 fps wide lens setting), a DJI Spark drone and an iPhone 12. I edit with Adobe Premiere Pro and use epidemicsound.com for the music.
