Travel Guide for Best Beach Food Review: Half Shell Oyster House For New Orleans Inspired Seafood

In this episode of our Beach Travel Guide we are in Foley, AL for our best Southern food at the beach review videos visiting for the grand opening of Half Shell Oyster House which is located in the previous location of Colt Grill BBQ & Spirits. The Half Shell Oyster House is a chain and this one is located on the Gulf Coast in Downtown Foley, Alabama at 118 West Laurel Avenue which is about 3 hours and 183 miles away from the New Orleans French Quarter. The Half Shell Oyster House offers a New Orleans inspired dining experience featuring seafood along with many other options. While the Half Shell Oyster House is “inspired” by New Orleans food they don’t have any locations in Louisiana and currently only operate in Mississippi and Alabama. I’ve actually eaten at the original location of Half Shell Oyster House in Gulfport, Mississippi several times and at their Hattiesburg, MS location once. So far I’ve always enjoyed my dining experiences at other locations of Half Shell Oyster House but I would say they don’t quite serve actual New Orleans style food and do more New Orleans inspired food. You might be curious about this new spot which offers a lot of interesting food. Half Shell Oyster House already seems to be a very popular spot in the area and they have been very busy for the first days they have been open.
