At the age of 17, he began working with several important musicians and artists, such as: Julio Frade, Jorginho Gularte, Hugo and Osvaldo Fattoruso, Urbano Moraes, Fernando Cabrera, Mariana Ingold, and Ruben Rada.​ ​ In 1990 he moved to the Netherlands, where he lived until 2002.
