At 16 years she has professionally presented alongside bands and artists of the city. At 17 he moved to Rio de Janeiro and founded the Karambah band, with whom he recorded the CD "In Hands" (2003) and toured in Brazil for about four years. In 2005, she won a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music, where he had the privilege of studying with names like Mick Goodrick (teacher Pat Metheny, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Bill Frisell), Hal Crook, Mark Whitfield, David Tronzo, among others, and he developed his skills in jazz and improvisation, graduating with honors in performance. Throughout his career, Mateus Starling is gaining ground as one of the most important guitarists and teachers of his generation through his video classes methodology, in addition to regular classes. It does tours in Brazil with Mateus Starling Quartet and has shared the stage with great musicians like Pascoal Meirelles, Josué Lopes, Zazá Desidério, Lúcio Vieira, Júlio Merlino, Berval Moraes, Mauro Senise, Marcelo Martins, Xande Figueiredo, Ney Conceição, Chico Chagas Cliff Korman, George Oliveira, among others.
