Everything is still in its place – and that's precisely what makes this place so eerie. I can't believe it! 10 years abandoned? She could return at any moment. An elderly woman's house, abandoned for about ten years – and inside, everything looks as if she might return at any second. No broken windows, no vandalism, just dust, cobwebs, and quiet decay. For me, it's one of the most honest time capsules I've ever explored as a lost place. In the basement, I find an old office, yellowed documents with dates from around 2012, a small workbench with many tools, and rooms that have clearly not been used for a long time. Down here, the decay is much more advanced; the walls are crumbling, and everything looks as if no one ever went down there. Upstairs in the living area, it's a completely different story: quaint 70s furniture, lovingly furnished rooms, organized closets, decorations, personal photos, and documents. In one photo, the resident smiles right next to the phone—as if it were a moment from an ordinary day. No devastation, no destruction—just a life left behind. The owner has since passed away, but her home still stands, as if time has stood still. That's precisely what makes this place so special—and so surreal.
