Steinvåg
Steinvåg was setteled early due to relatively good harbour conditions, proximity of the fishing grounds, and rich pastures. Fishermen from east and west gathered here, and the area is rich in heritage of both Sámi, Norwegian and Russian origin. As the Pomor trade ended, the village rapidly declined. The tradesman moved to Mehamn in 1920, and the last residents left 7 years later.
