ELMO 1012S-XL Repair & Modify

Elmo Super 8 Sound 1012S-XL Macro The power dial on this camera makes no sense. Set to "ON" when the grip is raised. Set to "T" when the grip is folded. When checking the battery, set it to "BAT" and press the button. However, when the power is turned on, the LED shines, so the battery check is meaningless. I don't understand why this camera has such a mechanism. Other than that, it's a very good camera!
