Jurisprudential Dialogue: Articulation of the Constitutional and Conventional Blocs In this session, Professor Julia Romero develops the concept of jurisprudential dialogue based on the articulation between the constitutional and conventional blocs, which together form an integrated normative framework for the control of laws. The operational differences between constitutional and conventionality control are explored—in terms of their parameters, objectives, and effects—and various models of the relationship between them are analyzed, prioritizing a complementary approach that fosters the simultaneous and harmonious exercise of these controls. Finally, it is emphasized that the judge must apply the pro persona principle to select the most protective standard available in either bloc, thus exercising multilevel control aimed at maximizing the protection of fundamental rights.
