PART 2:    • Part 2: Salt Lake City to Roseville (Feath...   After a frustrating multi-day wait in Salt Lake City, I finally get a westbound ride. This train seemed a bit underpowered with some slow climbs up the grade west of Salt Lake City into Nevada. The wait was worth it as I was rewarded with some spectacular views of the Great Salt Lake, Bonneville Flats, and the climb up Arnold Loop into Silver Zone Pass. This train was very late (about 18 hours late), as usually, those parts of this trip would be under the cover of darkness. I hope you enjoy Part 1 of my trip west.
