STEPPED FOUNDATIONS for a Big Wall

Preparing the Foundation for a Massive Wall! In this video, I begin preparing the foundations for a substantial wall measuring 20.7 metres long and 1.8 metres high. Due to the changing ground levels across the site, the foundation cannot be poured at a single depth, so I explain how and why stepped foundations are required. I’ll take you through the entire process, showing how I set out the excavation, deal with the varying levels, and create the stepped sections needed to provide a strong and stable base for the wall. Whether you’re planning a retaining wall, garden wall, or any project that requires foundations on sloping ground, this video will give you a practical insight into the methods and considerations involved. 🔨 In this video: Setting out the wall foundations Excavating for stepped footings Working with changing ground levels Foundation design considerations Preparing for the concrete pour If you enjoy construction, landscaping, and DIY building projects, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell so you don’t miss the next stage of the build. #Construction #Foundations #ConcreteFootings #RetainingWall #BuildingProjects #DIYConstruction #Landscaping #SteppedFoundations #GardenWall #ConstructionTips
