Explorer Academy ETC I-23 Check out Highlights from Explorer Academy ETC I-23. A week-long academy where Explorers experience a small sample of what CHP Cadets must endure on their journey to become Officers of the California Highway Patrol. This academy marks a special year since it was the first Explorer Academy since 2019. The CHP Explorer Program is designed for youth 15 to 20 years of age, allowing them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to serve the people of California through discipline and a commitment to serving their community.
