Women Behind the Badge 💫 Meet Detective Emma Marcil. Five years ago, Emma began her law enforcement career with the Ventura County Sheriff's Office after realizing her original path toward nursing wasn't where her passion truly was. Today, she serves as a detective with our Organized Retail Theft (ORT) Task Force, working alongside partners throughout Ventura County to combat retail theft and hold offenders accountable. Every deputy has a story. While Emma tells her story, you'll also get a behind-the-scenes look at a recent ORT Blitz operation.
