This is the only place where you can catch Miyabe char, a lake-dwelling variety of Dolly Varden trout, for a limited time. There's an unwritten rule in fishing that you shouldn't reveal the names of fishing rivers, but I consider regional revitalization and, for larger rivers, I mention the river name while keeping the entry point secret and ensuring it's not possible to guess the entry point. However, for smaller rivers, such as tributaries or local streams, I keep the river name confidential. This is because in such smaller streams, if anglers who only fish to take home enter, they might take all the fish they catch (50-80 fish), wiping out both native and invasive species. 2. While I understand the desire to recommend fishing rivers, I already have pre-recorded videos, so I generally won't visit recommended fishing rivers. Comments will also be deleted. 4. I have a rule that fish between 15cm and 35cm are released, and I take home less than half of the fish I catch for eating. This doesn't apply to cherry salmon and Dolly Varden trout, as they are often small to begin with, but I still apply the rule of taking home less than half of the fish I catch. However, I eat dace regardless. 6. My preference for dry fly fishing stems from the enjoyment of sport fishing in completely deceiving fish with flies I've tied myself and making them break the surface. Are you familiar with the novel "Hakujitsu" by Kenzo Kitakata? It's about a man who fishes using his own homemade lures, and his life as a Noh mask maker. "Deceiving." It's like a Japanese version of "The Old Man and the Sea," and it's interesting, so I recommend it to anyone who's curious (you can enjoy it even if you haven't read Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea"). 7. There are likely differing opinions on the concepts of invasive and native species, but I don't intend to comment on them. If I had to say something, if there are native Dolly Varden trout in the upper reaches of a fishing river, I will try to catch and bring back as many invasive rainbow trout and brown trout as possible (but I will not change my rule of keeping less than half of the fish I catch. I also consider local revitalization, so I'm not solely focused on protecting native species). 8. This section may be expanded depending on the comments.
