FT991A Program Different RPT Uplink & Downlink tones Proposal Using VFO-A & VFO-B in Split Ops Mode
This video takes a look at a couple questions I received on programing different uplink and downlink tones. I was unable to find a direct solution oin the manual. I came with a proposal to use Split Operations and let the two different VFO's act as Transmit with one Frequency and Tone and the other as a Receive with a different Frequency and Tone. I programmed VFO B 146.100 Tone 146.2 Encode Only (I only send a tone to access the repeater. I programmed VFO A 146.700 Tone 88.5 CTCSS (I require a tone from the repeater to open my radio squelch) I will continue to research this please share any feedback on alternate solutions thanks and have a good week.
