The Wind

This one is a little different. Call it gospel, native spiritual, country, blues, it's all of those things and none of those things. This is for my lost loved ones and the ones that are still here to keep me going. I really love this one, it's from the heart and I put my native heritage influence into it. Lyrics: My mother's love still guides me I find myself still talking to you My auntie's laughter fills the air Echoing through the years My uncle's ever playful joy Will always remind me Not to take life too seriously Every moment should be enjoyed When the night gets heavy And those walls start closing in My faith stands ready With guiding strength inside me I know I will win A rock that is weathered But will never bow to the wind And my father's strong foundation Reminds me of why I'm here Through every storm and sorrow His voice I will always hear I've lost friends and family Their memories I hold dear I've lost friends who were like brothers I miss you year by year When the night gets heavy And those walls start closing in My faith stands ready With guiding strength inside me I know I will win A rock that is weathered But will never bow to the wind Though I walk this path without you I am never ever alone When my journey here is through I know you will be guiding me home When the night gets heavy And those walls start closing in My faith stands ready With guiding strength inside me I know I will win A rock that is weathered But will never bow to the wind My mother's love still guides me My auntie's laughter fills the air My uncle's joy still walks beside me And my father is ways there I know I will see you all again
