Winchester to Eastbourne on the South Downs Way: Day 7 - Southease to Eastbourne The culmination of hiking 100 miles across the chalk downlands of England's south east counties The South Downs Way is a 100 mile trail that follows the chalk downs of Hampshire, West Sussex and East Sussex from Winchester in the west to Eastbourne in the east. It travels through farmland, forested woodland, chalk grassland and old towns.
