Capturing Millions of Gallons Of Water From a Golf Course

Behind this property runs a golf course. And for years, all of that runoff, carrying pesticides, fertilizers, heavy metals, and sediment, has been draining directly onto this land. This video documents how we designed a multi-stage water filtration and erosion control system to intercept that water before it ever reaches the pond or the aquifer downstream. Biochar, mycelium waddles inoculated with turkey tail, leaky weirs, Zuni bowls, one-rock dams, tree guilds, and natural riparian corridors, each playing a role in a living filtration system built from the land itself. Water is sacred. And if there is an opportunity to slow it, spread it, clean it, and send it back into the earth better than it arrived, that is always going to be where we start.
