SOUND I want to be notified when the next class for the sound installation course will be 👇🏽 https://bit.ly/Cadastro-Som --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original speakers are capable of reproducing good quality sound as long as they are all properly installed. Today I want to share an experience I had with a bad installation and the result I got after making the necessary adjustments to make everything perfect. I opened a door panel to see the cause of the bad sound, without bass and with a rattling noise. Right away I noticed that the speaker is of good quality, a Bravox Black line with 60Wrms and in good condition. This led me to believe that the problem was in the speaker installation. And it really was, because the speaker was attached to the door lining and not to the metal door frame. This prevents the speaker from being firmly in place and doesn't offer any kind of isolation between the front and back of the speaker. These two factors completely prevent the speaker from reproducing bass sound. To solve the problem, I acoustically insulated the door with asphaltic sheeting to close all the holes in the inner metal of the door and turn it into an acoustic box. After that, I made a 6" MDF wall mount to raise the speaker slightly and prevent the magnet from hitting the bottom. This mount also ensures good insulation between the front and back of the speaker, guaranteeing that the internal structure of the door becomes an acoustic box. I paid attention to the speaker's polarity to match it to the other door. To find this out, simply play a song with bass—I like electronic music—and move the radio's balance between the right and left doors. The result should be a stronger bass when the sound is exactly in the middle, divided equally between the two doors. This procedure can also be called alignment. After everything was installed and aligned, I assembled the headliner and started the final tests. The result was an incredible change in sound because the speaker on the other door was already well installed, but with the help of the other side, the bass more than doubled, and the feeling of balanced sound inside the car improved. A small setback was that an unexpected noise appeared on the door I worked on, and after analysis, I discovered that the bass generated by the speaker was the problem. It was causing the door panel to vibrate, generating this noise. To solve it, I put a wedge with folded carpet to force the panel against the door metal; I preferred this instead of using a screw that would have its head exposed. Everything is solved now, just enjoy the bass sound even without a subwoofer, as the sum of the bass from the 4 door speakers becomes reasonable for a family car's interior sound system. Thank you for following along this far, thanks. Want to be a successful electrician?
