Rage: The Forgotten id Software Game
id Software have plenty of popular gaming classics under their belt, yet one series of their's has always stuck out for being not quite as loved as the others. A series often left out of discussion which is of course Rage. Rage was id's first attempt at trying to incorporate more mechanics into their classic FPS formula, combining it with vehicular combat, RPG elements and a more in-depth story. Yet despite all of these new and interesting additions Rage lacks the iconic feeling of other id games thanks to clashing ideas and a lack of execution.
