The Tighter You Hold
I've learnt the hard way that the thing that makes you grasp at something is the same thing that ends up killing it. What is willpower? Or that cliché phrase, ''letting go''? Most of what gets called either one is just the same grip, looking for a kinder name to hide behind. I have spent years holding onto things I was, in that very same motion, killing. And once I started looking for that mechanism, I found it everywhere. The same truth in every place I looked.
