Harrison Lake British Columbia Moto Adventure : A North of 49 Project
Harrison Lake British Columbia Moto Adventure : A North of 49 Project Harrison Lake is a large, glacier-fed, freshwater fjord carved by glaciers. The lake offers recreation, commercial logging and is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Therapeutic mineral springs are abundant as are thick, lush forests, multiple rivers and streams. It’s not hard to find solitude here. It is also a well known hub of legendary Sasquatch activity. Every 4 years on a full moon in July, the legendary beasts hold a gathering of sorts in the caves of Mystery Valley. Fifty three miles of off pavement road seperate Sasquatch Inn at the south end & Tipella and the north end of the lake. It’s not a dependable, nor easy, route to traverse. Big washouts, slides and tree fall routinely block the road. The remote road at the north end of the lake is less travelled and usually in need of repair. Additionally, travelers will have to contend with heavy logging traffic and no services. I travelled this route to retrace a ride I took 10+ years earlier. I was curious about what aspects of the road may have changed over time. Would it be as rough as I remember? Would I see a Sasquatch? etc... These questions and more sparked my interest to return. I hope you can join me for another adventure ride north of the 49th parallel into a heavenly world of wonder. This video production is my personal experience in riding this route. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed putting it together for you. As always, Ride Right, Ride Safe and Ride Responsibly in the back country. I hope you thoroughly enjoy this episode of my travels. It is presented to show the joys, wonders and experiences of this route from a non-sponsored, not-for-profit perspective.
