167 - Making a 10 Minute Bone Arrowhead with Modern Tools

I have an updated bone arrowhead video here:    • 221 - Making a Cahokia Style Bone Arrowhea...   Bone arrowhead, basic shape for hunting. Cut on a bandsaw, then ground on 40 grit belt. Notches were cut in with a Dremmel tool and a circular cutting wheel. The bone was purchased from Petsmart and is a dog chew bone. One bone which will yield about a dozen arrowheads of this size. Large, bleached, white, cow bone. Bone arrowhead manufacture (with primitive tools) is slower in comparison to knapping an arrowhead from stone. However, there are very few failures. Note: Cow bone is weaker than deer or elk bone.
