Today I had special access to Air Base No. 1 in Santa Lucía to experience a day as a pilot within some of the country's most important squadrons. We went inside the MI-17 of Squadron 303. We climbed aboard the legendary F-5 Tiger of Squadron 401. We met the C-130 Hercules and the C-27J Spartan of Squadron 302. We discovered their history, their missions, and the enormous importance of this branch of aviation for Mexico. We also visited the Military Aviation Museum, where historic aircraft that have shaped generations are preserved.
