In 2018, the restaurant was reportedly forced to shut down by local health officials after a leaky roof caused water to enter the food preparation area. The building had multiple roof leaks, buckets collecting water inside, and the health inspector ordered it closed for safety reasons. After that closure, there were attempts to reopen: the location reopened in 2021 after repairs and hiring efforts, but closed again soon after. It remains closed to this day 2026.
