Ome Railway Park was opened to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the railway, and has a history that no mediocre railway museum can match. Currently, steam locomotives are preserved everywhere, but at that time, steam locomotives were in active service, so average ones would not be enough to preserve them. Also, unlike the current preservation system of JR companies (Railway Museum, Linear Railway Park, Kyoto Railway Museum, etc.) that have undergone privatization, locomotives were collected from railway management bureaus across the country. The indoor exhibition room is structured like an old locomotive depot, and the models inside are mainly the latest models at the time, such as the 20 series, 151 series, and Kiha 58, which give you a sense of the long history of the exhibits. The 1903 Nishitokyo series continued with the Tama Monorail and Keio Dobutsuen Line, and was completed with the 1903 Nishitokyo 5. It has already been released.
