Kinderen sterven van de honger in Sudan en buurland Zuid-Sudan

A famine has been declared in part of Sudan, a country that has been at war for nearly a year and a half. This means that a great many children are dying of hunger every day. Millions of people, especially children under the age of five, are at risk of dying due to a lack of food. This famine could become even worse than the one in Ethiopia in the 1980s. Some of the mothers are fleeing from Sudan to neighboring South Sudan in search of help for their severely malnourished children. Correspondent Elles van Gelder and cameraman Sven Torfinn traveled to the border between Sudan and South Sudan and visited a border hospital.
