A home lost: Sudanese return to their shattered capital
After years of war and displacement, Sudanese are returning to Khartoum, only to find their beloved city destroyed. Can they rebuilt under extremely fragile circumstances? The war is far from over. While they return, violence continues elsewhere in Sudan, like in El-Fasher were civilians are being murdered on mass scale. This is a story of loss, grief and resilience. And a reminder that the victims of war are not faceless numbers but that conflict impacts lives and memories.
