An Ode to New Hope Railroad #40 - Chasing Steam in Bucks County, PA

This video is a compilation of catches of the New Hope Railroad (Formerly the New Hope & Ivyland) and their steam locomotive, NHRR Baldwin 2-8-0 #40 as it pulls various passenger trains along the former Reading Company New Hope Branch. The video starts out at the end of 2022 with the North Pole Express and fast forwards into Fall and Early Winter of 2025, operating Fall Foliage and Santa's Steam Spectacular trips, including some steam after snowfall as a mid-December snowstorm brought us our first accumulation of the year. In 2025, New Hope 40 celebrated its 100th birthday and was taken out of service at the end of the Christmas season for its 1472-day inspection and overhaul, hopefully all goes well and we see it hit the rails in Bucks County again within the next couple of years.
