The Parable Almost Everyone Reads Backwards — The Persistent Widow Explained (Luke 18)

There is a parable Jesus told that almost everyone reads backwards. You've probably heard the lesson drawn from it: God is like a reluctant judge, and if you just keep pestering Him long enough, eventually He'll give in. Pray hard enough, beg long enough, and you can wear heaven down. That reading is not just slightly off. It is close to the exact opposite of what Jesus was saying.
