Merus Adventure Park Part 2 | Lonesome Dove Blue Trail in Palo Duro Canyon
In Part 2 of our Merus Adventure Park trip, we take on Lonesome Dove, one of the longer trails at Merus and our first real experience off-roading in the Jeep. This was our first time visiting Merus Adventure Park near Palo Duro Canyon, and after getting a feel for the park in Part 1, we headed out for the Lonesome Dove Blue Trail that was recommended by one of the park guides Jonathan. The weather was hot, the trail was dusty, and the canyon views were absolutely worth it. Rachel drove for the day while we followed the trail through rocky sections, scenic overlooks, long stretches of canyon terrain, and some fun technical spots. We also had another couple wheeling with us in their black Rubicon, which made the trail even more fun as we worked our way through Merus together. This trail gave us a great first taste of what off-roading at Merus is all about — beautiful Palo Duro Canyon scenery, Jeep trails, red dirt, rocks, heat, and a whole lot of learning as we went. Thanks for watching and following along with Land or Lake, no plans, no scripts, just figuring it out one trail, campsite, and weekend at a time.
