Using scenes to switch keyboard control, arpeggios and more with Yamaha MONTAGE M / MODX M
In the fourth part of the • Yamaha MONTAGE M Demystified (covers MODX M) tutorial series, we set up keyboard control for a performance, and use scenes to bring different parts of the performance under keyboard control for different parts of our song. I'll cover two different approaches to using scenes, one offering maximum control, the other being the easy option. We use scenes to switch the arpeggio attached to the drum part of the performance and adjust the super knob. We look at the concept of single-purpose utility scenes, that can be used to manipulate the mix or AEG of other scenes in a mix-and-match fashion.
