What did Yamaha remove from MONTAGE M to make the astonishing new MODX M?

Yamaha MONTAGE M has a new little brother! This is the astonishing MODX M. In this video, I look at what compromises and omissions Yamaha has made to take the MONTAGE M flagship synthesizer and turn it into a lightweight, lower-cost instrument. So, what has been removed? tl;dr: not a lot! MODX M is an absolute monster of a synth, and at the price Yamaha has set, it has no serious competitors. Sit back and enjoy an in-depth investigation into what makes MODX M great, and why it has a legitimate claim to be known as a baby MONTAGE M, to the point where I am surprised that Yamaha are not more concerned about MODX M cannibalising MONTAGE M sales.
