X9 Turbo Leak, S780 Transmission and separator clutch Failure, X9 hits a pole with unloading auger!

In this episode of Harvest 2025 Service Calls 5, the week starts out with an X9 combine that’s leaking coolant out of the turbo box on the big 13.6L engine. Then it’s back to the shop where I show off my brand new Rak’d Audio Bluetooth Ammo Can Speaker — this thing’s built tough and sounds awesome. Next up, I dig into an S780 in the shop that’s had a rough time — a blown separator clutch in the main engine gearcase (MEG) that starved the transmission of oil, burning up the clutches and planetary gears. It’s a big teardown removing the hydro motor, transmission, and MEG assembly. Then I head out on a service call for another S780 that keeps throwing a random intermittent code shutting off both the header and separator. The LC2 controller thinks the chopper is up with speed detected and is shutting it down. This one about drives me crazy before I finally track down the cause. Finally, I deal with an X9 1000 that had a run-in with a pole… and it snapped the unloading auger hydraulic cylinder ram clean off! Another wild harvest week out in the field.
