Setup of CW-5200 Water Chiller Unit for CNC Co2 Laser Machine - S&A From Cloudray Laser

This video is on the unboxing and setup of an S&A Water chiller CW-5200, This is one of the necessary upgrades to my current laser setup in my workshop as you may have seen I have been using a primitive method of cooling the laser and that needed to be improved. (1:45) After filling the water reservoir, I add a couple of capfuls of bleach to the water to help prevent algae and bacteria growth in the water system. Using distilled water alone does not prevent the growth of bacteria in the laser tube and hoses, as the water system is not a sterile and sealed system. During manufacturing the laser tube and system is tested prior to shipping with water that is not sterile, and the hoses also are hot sent in sterile packaging. I ran a few capfuls of bleach in the last cooling arrangement I had and the water stayed crystal clear for approx 2 months, after which I replaced it with fresh water and again a few capfuls of bleach. (2:36 Quick look at the thermostat parameters list The default setting for the temperature control is set to “intelligent” in my case I will need to change that to “constant” for cooling the laser. Intelligent mode - will cool the water to 3 degrees below the current room temperature, this may be OK for some applications of this chiller but, In the case of my workshop where temperatures regularly reach over 35 degrees on a good day, this would mean that the water cooling would maintain the temperature also in the 30 plus degree range which is Not really the best for the laser. The constant temperature mode - is basically that, I can select a temperature that I want the water to be maintained at and then set. The control panel is the same for CW-5000 and CW-5200 (5:22) Factory Settings Reset (5:50) Entering The Thermostat Control Parameters - Press and Hold and UP and SET button together and Hold (6:07) Entering Password = 8 (6:21) Thermostat Parameters Changing From Intelligent to Constant Temperature Mode = F3 Changing Minimum Allowed Temperature = F9 Changing the Temperature Setting = F0 Press The RST within 20 Seconds or the settings will not be saved.
