He confessed and humbly accepted penance: for six months he stood at the gate, asking for prayers from everyone who passed by. 🌿 After his death, the brethren prayed for the repose of his soul for 40 days. On the fortieth day, while preparing a memorial meal, the monks witnessed a miracle: the sea brought a huge deep-sea fish to the surface, which became a sign of the heard prayer. 🌿 The monks understood this amazing catch as an answer from heaven: the Mother of God asked Her Son for forgiveness for the one who sincerely repented. Her intercession is always merciful to those who fall, but find the strength to rise through repentance. 🌿 Each of us has our own weaknesses and sins, which are a deadly disease for the soul. Therefore, we turn to the Most Holy Virgin Mary, so that through her prayers the Lord may forgive us and grant us the strength to live in holiness and truth.
