Butterflies was composed for the Yve Poprawski Dance Studio in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, and concerns itself with movement: specifically the spontaneity of movement of butterflies, observed near and far, individually and in groups. The harmony attempts to capture the warmth of the sunshine and the sweetness of the nectar on which they thrive.
