EPISODE 50: MY CURRENT TOP 50 is a celebration episode!!! Just for fun, I am featuring my fifty favorite full-length board games (as of September 2024). I have been in this hobby since 2012, so I found this list very difficult to put together. With a current collection of over 700 games, it is clear to me that 50 games just isn't enough for my collection LOL! A lot of what we play depends on our mood, game group, player count, etc., so it's hard to say these are the "best" games because that's very subjective! To help me narrow down my choices, I did not include any party games, kids' games, 1v1 2-player games, co-op games, or card games (for the most part). So these are all multiplayer competitive games. Also, I tried to focus on variety. This list has a wide range of complexity levels, styles, designers, and mechanisms. Finally, every game on this list a minimum of 3 times. Most of them I've played far more than 3 times, but that was my minimum requirement to be included in this list. Typically, I enjoy medium weight euro games with lots of player interaction. Generally speaking, I prefer the older, simpler designs with renaissance or medieval themes, beige boards, beautiful old-school artwork, and simple wooden bits. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my list!
