How to Make Luxurious Foaming Shower Oil + Body Oil

Learn how to make foaming shower oil & luxurious body oil! This project is super quick & easy- less than 5 minutes!!! The foaming shower oil is a great cleanser & great shaving foam. Apply the body oil after bathing/showering for luxuriously soft, hydrated, & moisturized skin! You'll need a foaming pump bottle, liquid oil, liquid surfactant, & distilled water (or witch hazel)! If you plan on experimenting, use the cheapest oil you have! Don’t waste the good stuff on experiments. I used sweet almond oil for all recipes! 4 RECIPES: ** 10 milliliters [thick] shower gel, 20 milliliters water, 20 milliliters liquid oil, 5 milliliters fragrance oil. ** 10 milliliters [thin] shower gel, 10 milliliters water, 20 milliliters liquid oil, 5 milliliters fragrance oil. ** 7.5 milliliters cocamidopropyl betaine, 15 milliliters liquid oil, 7.5 milliliters water, 3.75 milliliters fragrance oil. ** 7.5 milliliters coco glucoside, 10 milliliters liquid oil, 10 milliliters water, 2.5 milliliters fragrance oil. NOTES: ** I tried polysorbate 80, but it's so thick that the amount of water needed to thin it out (for it to pump correctly) basically depleted the surfactant & the foam came out all runny. I did not use a preservative- no mold or bacteria formed. However, after researching, I do recommend a preservative just to be safe (liquid Germall plus is recommended & linked). I tried witch hazel but the smell can be quite over-powering. Don’t use any shower gel that has exfoliants, micro-balls, etc. (it'll clog the pump). General Rule: The thicker the surfactant, the more water must be added! Depending on surfactant type (like bubble bath) used, you may not be able to shake the bottle to mix contents; doing so creates a parade of bubbles that restricts pumping action & causes foam to be runny. Instead of shaking, slowly swirl contents around in bottle. You CAN add more oil in your recipe, however, this will change the fluffiness of the foam. BODY OIL: Use any oils that you want. I used the top 3 oils that are recommended for skin & I fell in love!!!!
