Create A Shimmering Bath Oil In Minutes With Only 2 Ingredients!

Make luxurious, non-greasy, sparkling bath oil. It creates a relaxing shimmering oasis of warm, velvety, milky bath water. It leaves skin silky-soft, hydrated, & glowing. You'll need oil (I'm using jojoba oil) & I highly recommend an emulsifier so the oil mixes with water [add 1 milliliter polysorbate 80 per 5 milliliters oil]. ALL other ingredients are completely optional! I'm adding the following: Glycerin because it’s a non-greasy emollient that’s easily absorbed, it mixes with water naturally, & to give the bath oil maximum transparency (or use sorbitol or dipropylene Glycol). BTMS 25 emulsifies & thickens the mixture (mica remains suspended). Or use a different emulsifying wax. ** BTMS-25 makes thicker/firmer products than BTMS-50. You may change ingredients & amounts as you see fit (I encourage it! You may create something you LOVE!) - just know it may impact the final product. ** I am NOT sure if this recipe needs a preservative; when in doubt I always add it. *** If you have issues with the consistency, alter the amount of wax until desired results are achieved. This recipe makes 250 milliliters, enough for an 8.5 ounce bottle. The bath oil should last a year. RECIPE: 100 milliliters jojoba oil, 5 grams BTMS-25, 100 milliliters glycerin, 20 milliliters polysorbate 80, 20 milliliters fragrance oil. DIRECTIONS: Heat oil & wax together until wax is dissolved. Heat glycerin to a similar temperature. Combine liquids & mix. Add polysorbate 80 & mica, then mix. Cool mixture to 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius), then add fragrance & preservative. Cool mixture to room temperature. Mix it once more right before packaging. *** After a while the bath oil separates- but I think it looks amazing; like an ombre' effect. Regardless, it mixes back together very easily & it pours out evenly (even after it's separated). Drizzle the bath oil under running water. The water is a beautiful twinkling milky pearl tint, it feels soft & velvety, & it smells amazing. My skin had a subtle scent, was soft, & shimmering - not greasy though.
