the city of lackawanna, located immediately south of buffalo, once prided itself on the bethlehem steel plant along the city's lakeshore. 25 years after the plant closed, the streets of lackawanna today seem a bit empty or even lonely, despite the fact that the population of the city remains around 20,000. now, we take a look at these streets and various other locations within the city to take a look at how the city has coped over the last quarter century... music: shostakovich 9th symphony, mvmt.
