First Sail After Winter – 7 Hours to Læsø Denmark to Sweden Trip Begins
After months of winter, ice, and boat work, I’m finally back on the water. In this video, I leave Hals in Denmark and begin my sailing trip toward Sweden, with a first stop on the island of Læsø. This is my first proper sail after replacing all the standing rigging and being stuck in the harbour during February. For this trip, I’m joined by my friend Andreas, who experiences a bit of seasickness along the way. We sail for over 7 hours in great conditions, using the windvane for self-steering and enjoying a smooth passage across the water. This is part one of the journey — more sailing adventures to come.
